Although forest trees grow quite well with only nature's pruning, landscape trees require a higher level of care to maintain their safety and aesthetics. Pruning should be done with an understanding of how the tree responds to each cut. Improper pruning can cause damage that will last for the life of the tree, or worse, shorten the tree's life.Pruning is the cutting or removing of branches or parts of trees, or for improving the shape or growth of trees. Usually, trees are pruned preventative or as a corrective measure to remove dead branches, crowded or rubbing limbs, eliminate hazards, and increase light and air penetration. Since each cut to a tree has the potential to change the growth, it is important to know trees, considering that no branch should be removed without any reason. Experienced arborists will protect your trees from unnecessary damage. The For Trees crew will do routine pruning, such as deadwooding, as well as crown cleaning and restoration, and clearance pruning ... for pedestrians, vehicles, houses, buildings, powerlines and communication cables. We will come and look at your tree, and after inspecting, will ascertain whether it needs deadwood removed. It can be beneficial to species of insects and birds. Have your trees inspected regularly, every few years at least, by our Certified Arborists. It is too often misunderstood that prompt removal of dying and diseased branches is the best, and sometimes the only, way to preserve and extend the useful life of your tree. Monitor your trees closely, and call us if you notice signs of disease: wilting leaves, dry or dead looking twigs, a change in colour not due to the seasons, or anything else out of the ordinary. |
